Momi's WorldJuly 13 World Cup 2006So...the World Cup...
Everyone knows how it ended - damn it!!!!!!!!!!! We were soooo close.... anyways...
Do you Know this kind of times and events, when you always carry a camera around with you, cuz you KNOW that you should take loads of pictures cuz it's very unlikely that you see the same thing, the same amount of people, hear the same songs and have the ame atmosphere again evere again, and then you just totally forget to take pictures????
Well, that's what happened to me...
Actually, for me and my friends from work the Worl Cup turned out to be quite busy, cuz we had to work a LOT!!! Especially when Germany played.. I saw 2 matches Germay played - the one against Sweden, and the one against Italy..
So, the fun part about working was that you got parts of the atmsophere from the guests. The annoying part was, that when we were done we usually were to tired to go out celebrating.
Anyways, never saw anything like it befor.
Loads of people from all over the world, wearing the flags and shirts of their country, and - the most amazing bit - all the Germans doing that, too. And, hey!!, that's really amazing, Germans are not really the patriotic kind... I didn't see any violence anywhwere, and as far as I know there wasnt' very much during the World Cup.. And...dunno, too much really, can't really describe it...Packed streets after Germany played, more than on Carneval!!!! And loads of funny football-songs:
"Eine Straße vielen Bäumen, Allee, Allee, Allee..."
(A street, many trees, alley, alley, alley - cuz of the French "Alleez le Bleu")
"Ihr seid nur ein Möbellieferant!"
("You're only suppliing furniture" - after the Sweden match...NO OFFENCE!!!!)
"Ihr seid nur ein Pizzalieferant!"
(same with pizza....)
"Berlin, Berlin, wir fahren nach Berlin!"
("We're going to Berlin!" - where the final was...)
and..
after losing against Italy
"Stuttgart ist viel schöner als Berlin!"
("Stuttgart is much better than Berlin!")
so...
Now, the city is empty again. We feel kinda lost, cuz we can't watch football anymore, tired, cuz we didn't sleep much, stressed, cuz we didn't prepare for our examy properly, which are all this and next week and...
miss the World Cup!!!!!

Right now, that means for me that I do about everything outside - learning, translating stupid texts from Chinese to German, eating, drinking, working, sleeping...
After a couple of weeks I gonna have arms like a bodybuilder - right now, my boss decided to let me work as a "Tellertaxi" - "plate-cab" - , which means that I have to bring the food to the guests and return with as many empty plates as possible to the kitchen. My thumbs kinda hurt, my arms anyway, and my feet are full of blisters, and unfortunately I have to do the same thing tonight again.. But it's kinda fun...And maybe the sport to compensate my "healthy" life: sleeping too short, not eating enough, too much beer (at the weekends) and definately too much cigarrettes... Luckily I have monday to friday to relax from the weekends. Took me 4 days last week, cuz on friday, we had a party, on saturday I worked and went to another party afterwards, and on sunday I worked at the "Dance into the May" - Party...
Anyway, the sun is calling, gonna go to the park..

The new Motto of my life, very handy cuz it doesn't make sense at all, but is great to sing out of tune!!!
The Don gave me the command to put some more pictures on this page to save him from eternal boredom and give him the chance to make more fun of me.
Anyway, this is the last day of the holidays, it's raining, my hangover is gone, I'm trying to get mentally prepared to attend classes again and hope, that my aunt made nice cake and loads of coffee!!

Okay...
Right...I know I've been kinda absent for quite a while, but now I'll try to give a quick update...
So..I had one exam - I don't know my result yet, I can't tell you how it went, forgot it the second I left the room so please don't ask...
The exam was on carneval friday, so we started drinking and partiing right afterwards. Until tuesday morning 7.30 am - we had a party from the place I work at. Oh yeah, I worked there during carneval too, loved it.
Right, and the week after we had another concert, Mozart's "Magic Flute".
Okay..that was quick... But I guess some of teh pictures are more interesting anyway..

First of all:
Happy Year of the Dog
My year..lets see, what happens.
It definately started great...we had a Las Vegas Party on the 28th!!! Not really a suitable theme, I have to admit, but anyways, was great fun! Not as many people as at our house-warming party, but maybe that wasn't that bad. More space to dance....
Wow, that's typical, I finally have time to write and can't think of anything. Sorry, Koreanum, I know this is boring. Maybe it's better if I write German.

First thing I did on january the 1st 2006 was pouring boiling hot water over my hand. The good thing: it can only get better now!
As january is horrible - sorry, Sussi, except your birthday, of course - we decided to have a Las Vegas Party in our apartment, befor the exams start! Yeahhhhh!!!! Me like party! And I think I deserve it, cuz I will miss the best day of Carneval, cuz I'm writing an exam the day after
 Life is cruel... Luckily I have a great plastic ice cube with colourful light, which brightens up my day - and makes water taste like plastic, but, hey! can't have everything!!!

December 23 Holidays!!!!!!Yeah!
Holiday's started today!!!!
Well, actually yesterday, at least for me and some others. And we definately celebrated it, with some free "Glühwein" in our institute.
 Unfortunately most of us didn't eat since lunch time, so we were kinda..ahh..tipsy....at some point. Well, at least I was. But we had the great chance to listen to some exquisit traditional Chinese or Japanese music..
 Anyway, december was full of christmas parties, choir trip, "glühwein", christmas markets, cookies, colds, too expensive dinners and not enough money... so, nocthing new there.
Sorry, I'm too lazy to write more now. After Christmas...
